Kawasaki (川崎)is a distinctively beautiful town in South Miyaki, it is at the foot of the Zao mountain chains.”
Kawasaki is famous for its thatched-roofed houses, which is quite typical in Eastern Japan.
Today I walked around the city for a while, the sun is warm so it’s not so cold.
Kawasaki is a colorful city.
There are several public parks in Kawasaki city.
Kawasaki is a peaceful and an anti-nuclear-energy city.
川崎冬雪祭り-A Special Winter Festival in Kawasaki
The Kawasaki Winter Festival (川崎冬雪祭り) is a unique local festival in February. The festival is interesting and photogenic despite the extremely cold weather.
In this festival, people living in this place gather together and make candles inside small snow roofs.
They put thousands candles inside small snow cabins to create a magic mood and to make good wishes for the future.
There are two kinds of festivals that I like, the first kinds are festivals when family gathers together, another kinds are festivals when people pray for their tomorrow, the Kawasaki Winter Festival seems to put those two things together.
Today is cold and very windy, thus electronic candles are used instead of real ones.

The Sankei No Yado Ryusen Hotel has amazing outdoor hot springs and it’s quite enjoyable to experience the hot water in cold winter.
I like the interior design of the hotel.
Most of the rooms in the hotel is Japanese style.
