APPLE CHIPS, in Aomori
If you like apples, Aomori is the place to be. The region is well known for it’s apple orchards galore and nearly every shop you enter will be bursting with apple related products.
One of the better apple-related snacks we tried were “Apple chips” – pieces of dried apple that make for a great snack.
They were being sold as souvenirs, but I went ahead and bought a pack to have in-between lunch and dinner, as I’m big on eating chips (or crisps as we call them back in the UK).
The good thing about Apple chips is I didn’t feel guilty eating them, like I often do with normal chips. Apples are healthy right?
Ok maybe they weren’t healthy. After all, they tasted very sugary.
But they were certainly very good.
